Science activity for kids: Atoms & Molecules, Saturday 11 November 2017

Cost: Free for OAGC members; gold coin donation for non-members
Bring: Colouring pencils
Nathalie Thomas will provide a science activity for our children. The session is on Atoms and Molecules. The children will learn about atoms and the Periodic Table and they will build a series of interesting molecules using a molecular model kit. This session is suitable for ages 8 and up, or 5yrs and over with parental assistance.
Nathalie Thomas has a MSc in Chemistry, did her teacher training in Auckland and taught at high school level for more than 10 years before retiring 12 years ago. She homeschooled her oldest son, who is gifted, from age 9 until he went to university. She now travels around NZ running science workshops and lab courses specifically aimed at homeschooled children as well as online courses. She is also the current treasurer of the NZ Association for Gifted Children.
