The Otago Association for Gifted Children (OAGC)
OAGC is based in Dunedin, New Zealand and offers support to parents and teachers of gifted children. The Association holds informal forums and organises speakers on a range of gifted topics throughout the year. Members have access to an extensive lending library and receive a regular newsletter, "Gifted Goings-On."

The aims of the Otago Association for Gifted Children (OAGC) are:

To promote:
*  Greater understanding of the individual needs of gifted and talented children, from pre-school through to secondary level;

To provide: 
*  Support and encouragement to gifted, talented and exceptionally able students, their parents and teachers;

To introduce:
*  Gifted and talented students of all levels to each other
*  Teachers and parents to each other so they can discuss mutual interests and issues;
*  Teachers and families to those in the community who offer extension activities;

To challenge thought by providing:
*  Meetings and support for parents and teachers;
*  Explorations, outings and discussion days for students at various age levels;
*  Activities that extend students' involvement with investigating, problem solving, discovering and creating.
