The Otago Association for Gifted Children (OAGC)
OAGC is based in Dunedin, New Zealand and offers support to parents and teachers of gifted children. The Association holds informal forums and organises speakers on a range of gifted topics. OAGC runs regular family activities to facilitate the meeting of 'like-minds'. Members have access to a lending library containing resources and books on topics relevant to the gifted community.

- Greater understanding of the individual needs of gifted and talented children, from pre-school through to secondary level
To provide:
- Support and encouragement to gifted, talented and exceptionally able students, their parents and teachers
- Enable access to professional assessments by educational psychologists experienced with gifted children
To introduce:
- Gifted and talented students of all levels to each other
- Teachers and parents to each other so they can discuss mutual interests and issues
- Teachers and families to those in the community who offer extension activities
To challenge thought by providing:
- Meetings and support for parents and teachers
- Explorations, outings and discussion days for students at various age levels
- Activities that extend students' involvement with investigating, problem solving, discovering and creating
