Nathalie Thomas: Homeschooling your gifted child through the intermediate and high school years

Tuesday 18 October 2016, 7.30pm, Alexander McMillan Room, Dunedin Community House

Cost: OAGC Members FREE. Non-members: gold coin donation.

Have you ever considered homeschooling your child? Nathalie Thomas will share her experience homeschooling her gifted son (who is now 19 and attending university) since he was 10 years old. She is very passionate about “unschooling”, also called “natural learning” as a method of homeschooling. Nathalie Thomas (MSc, dipT) is a qualified teacher who has taught chemistry, physics and mathematics at high school level for more than 10 years. She currently runs chemistry and physics courses throughout New Zealand, specifically aimed at homeschool students to give them experience working in a lab and doing hands-on science
