Literacy and the Gifted Child
PLUS!
Differentiation in the Regular Classroom

with Rosemary Cathcart
A one-day workshop dealing with two key topics for primary & intermediate teachers
Dunedin: Friday 7 September 2012

  •  LITERACY
A Ministry priority for gifted children – but what does literacy actually mean for the gifted child? This workshop examines this question, and explores innovative and interesting solutions.

  • DIFFERENTIATION
Seen all those daunting loooong lists of what this should/could involve? Take a look at a teacher-friendly approach that benefits all children and makes your lesson-planning feel lively and fresh.

  • Your Tutor
Rosemary Cathcart has been involved in gifted education for 30 years. Formerly director of the George Parkyn Centre for Gifted Education and now director of REACH Education, she’s worked with hundreds of teachers throughout New Zealand, has been a classroom teacher herself, and has also taught and supported numerous gifted children. She draws on this lengthy experience to provide practical, effective solutions all teachers can readily employ.
